WHO WE ARE
Kim Escudero, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician and IFMCP certified Functional Medicine physician who has been caring for patients for over 25 years. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her residency training at the University of California at Irvine in 1998. Trained in both conventional and functional medicine, Dr. Escudero combines her knowledge bases in order to provide you with the best care possible. Dr. Escudero has been in Mammoth since 2003, and lives here full time with her husband and 3 teenagers.
Michael M. Karch, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, entrepreneur, inventor, educator. He has been in practice at Mammoth Hospital in Mammoth Lakes, CA since 2003 where specializes in orthopedic trauma and adult reconstruction of the hip and knee. He is a founding member and senior partner in the Mammoth Orthopaedic Institute, Inc. and serves as
Chairman of the Surgery and Anesthesia Department at Mammoth Hospital. Dr. Karch completed his undergraduate studies with Honors at the University of Delaware and graduated with Honors from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1995. Following a surgical intern year at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in California, he completed his orthopedic surgical residency training at Georgetown in Washington D.C. Dr. Karch completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Trauma at the Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico. He then underwent Post-Fellowship apprenticeship training in Advanced and Masters AO trauma and reconstructive techniques in the U.S. and in Europe. Dr. Karch currently lives in Mammoth Lakes with his wife and 3 children. You can often find him Nordic skiing, alpine skiing or running in his spare time.
